Turning Adversity into Opportunity

Every challenge I’ve faced has been an opportunity in disguise. From navigating the complexities of launching a business in Norway’s high-cost environment to building a global streetwear brand despite knowing little about fashion, I’ve consistently turned obstacles into stepping stones for success.

When faced with the high shipping costs that come with operating outside the EU, I didn’t let that stop me. Instead, I forged strong partnerships, creating relationships that not only solved the immediate problem but also opened doors to new opportunities that I hadn’t initially considered.

I’ve always believed that the greatest successes often come from the greatest challenges.

the start of a clothing brand

Heart of Tirona is a streetwear brand that’s all about precision and detail—something that took immense planning and strategic thinking to bring to life. Although streetwear isn’t my personal style, I saw an opportunity in the growing trend and knew it was the perfect chance to make my mark.

Building this brand was a challenge. From finding the right manufacturer to navigating the complexities of international shipping from Norway, every step required careful consideration and innovative solutions. Establishing a close partnership with my manufacturer proved to be a game-changer. Our collaboration has been so successful that we're now exploring new business opportunities together.

The designs weren’t easy either. My first design took over two months to perfect, reflecting the intricate detail and effort I put into every piece. But all that hard work paid off. Heart of Tirona received an overwhelmingly positive response right from the start, with the streetwear community embracing the brand and driving its early success.

This experience taught me a valuable lesson: YOU DON'T NEED TO HAVE A PASSION FOR SOMETHING TO START IT. SOMETIMES, THE FIRST MOVE IS JUST A STEPPING STONE TO GET TO WHERE YOU TRULY WANT. Heart of Tirona wasn’t just about creating clothing—it was about achieving success, learning from every challenge, and building a foundation for future ventures.

MOVING TO ENGLAND

Relocating to England was a game-changer for me. This move opened up new opportunities, allowing me to expand my network, explore fresh ideas, and take my career to the next level. It was a bold step that set the stage for future successes, paving the way for my growing influence and achievements in other countries across the globe.

TO SUPPLYING NORWAY'S BIGGEST STORES...

What began as a simple networking opportunity quickly evolved into a significant milestone in my career. Through a connection I made while expanding my network, I gained the opportunity to supply products to some of Norway's largest grocery and furniture stores. This was more than just getting products on shelves—it was about understanding the complexities of the Norwegian market, building strong relationships with key players, and consistently delivering the quality and reliability that these top-tier retailers demanded.

Navigating this new landscape required a deep understanding of logistics, pricing strategies, and the nuances of working within a highly competitive industry. It wasn’t just about meeting expectations but exceeding them, ensuring that the products not only fit the market’s needs but also stood out in a crowded space. This experience didn’t just solidify my place in the industry; it opened doors to new opportunities and partnerships, reinforcing my ability to operate successfully on a global scale.

Through this journey, I learned the importance of adaptability, persistence, and the power of a well-established network. These lessons have been invaluable as I continue to expand my influence and success in other markets around the world.

Yep… the brand you saw on the front page?

It's partly owned by me. In early 2024, I sparked the idea of launching a cosmetic brand. Here's the thing though—I know next to nothing about makeup. So, in order to bring this idea to life, I needed someone with experience who could handle the creative side.

That’s where Erjona comes in. While I focus on the “boring” side of things—like ordering supplies, managing the logistics, and making key connections—she’s responsible for all the product approvals and, as we like to call it, the 'girly' stuff. It’s a perfect balance. She ensures that everything we put out is top-notch, and I make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Together, we’ve built something from scratch, proving that a great idea and the right partnership can take you further than you ever imagined.
